As a first-generation attorney, Chelsey prides herself as an advocate for her injured clients and a voice for their rights.
Ms. Gandy earned her Juris Doctorate degree and Mediation Certificate* from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 2020. Chelsey worked in the Randall O’ Sorrels legal clinics for two semesters at South Texas College of Law. Her clinical skill practice included reaching settlements in small claims court and EEOC cases as a Certified Mediator in the State of Texas. While in law school,
Chelsey also took the opportunity to study law abroad in Prague, Czech Republic which provided her a cultural experience as well as a chance to learn how the law is different across the world. Ms. Gandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Minor in Public Relations from Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2013).
Chelsey began her legal career at the age of 18. She gained valuable practical experience in the legal field working as a mail clerk, operator, legal secretary, legal assistant, and law clerk before she became an attorney. Chelsey is a litigation attorney with a focus in personal injury law. She has successfully represented several plaintiffs at various stages of litigation, effectively holding negligent parties accountable.
Chelsey is a native to the Texas Gulf Coast. In her free time, Chelsey is dedicated to living an active lifestyle with a focus on regular exercise. She loves spending time with her boyfriend Anthony, her family, and her dog Tate. She has a determination to accomplish her goals of fighting for justice for her clients and she is hopeful to set some new precedents as well.
Chelsey is licensed by the State Bar of Texas. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Southern District Court of Texas. Chelsey has been recognized with the honor of being selected to Super Lawyers 2024 Texas Rising Stars. Being selected to Rising Stars is limited to a small number of attorneys in each state. As one of the few attorneys to garner the distinction of Rising Stars, Chelsey has earned the respect of peers as one of the top-rated attorneys in the nation. Chelsey has also been recognized as the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40, a designation given to a select group of attorneys who exhibit superior qualifications and exceptional leadership in Civil Plaintiff Law.
